WORK HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY SUMMARY

Axis Labour is committed to providing and maintaining, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, labour hire workers, clients and visitors across all sites and operations.

Axis Labour recognises the high-risk nature of civil construction and infrastructure environments and has developed and implemented an internal Work Health and Safety Management System in accordance with applicable WHS and OHS legislation across all states and territories of operation.

All workers engaged by Axis Labour are required to complete site-specific inductions and relevant training prior to deployment. Axis Labour fulfils its obligations as a labour hire provider under shared duty of care provisions, working collaboratively with host employers and principal contractors to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all placed workers.

Axis Labour's risk management framework encompasses systematic hazard identification, risk assessment, implementation of controls in accordance with the hierarchy of control, and ongoing monitoring and review, including the identification and management of psychosocial hazards and risks. Safe Work Method Statements are developed and maintained for all high-risk construction work in accordance with legislative requirements.

Axis Labour is committed to the goal of zero incidents and to the continuous improvement of its safety systems, practices and culture. Safety performance is reviewed following all incidents, near misses, audits and worker feedback cycles.

Sexual harassment is any unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that a reasonable person would anticipate could make another person feel offended, humiliated or intimidated. It can be physical, verbal or written, including through online and phone communication, and can occur on site, off site, at work related events and through social media.
